Hi, I'm Angela!
I am a fourth-year PhD student in the Cognitive Science Department at Johns Hopkins University, advised by Dr. Brenda Rapp. I also work with Dr. Kyrana Tsapkini in the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
I have a broad interest in the science of human languages, and this interest spans, in the terms of the famous theory by David Marr, all three levels of analysis: computational, algorithmic, and implementational. My current work is focused around the algorithmic level, specifically how speech sounds are represented and processed in the brain, using methods of cognitive neuropsychology.
Prior to joining Hopkins, I completed my B.A. in Linguistics at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
